You probably have some questions about working at Pro Athlete, so we have some answers. Browse through some of our top FAQ's below to answer any immediate questions you may have about who we are, what we do, and how to become a part of the team.

+ Are you hiring? How can I work at Pro Athlete?

We're always hiring for the right team player. Do you think you belong on our roster of All-Stars? Tell us why on our Open Roster Spots page. While you're there, feel free to browse any other Open Roster Spots we may have open at the time. We're constantly innovating and reinventing the way we do business, so keep checking back. You never know when we'll begin the hiring process for our next MVP.

+ Does Pro Athlete offer internships?

Nope. We're looking into bringing in interns in the near future, but at this point nothing is set in stone. Do you think you have a skill-set to contribute to our team as a student or recent graduate? Tell us why using the Stay Connected tab, and sell yourself.

+ Tell me more about the dress code.

It's true. We're casual. Don't show up wearing a suit and tie. Don't. That's not who we are around here. It's not uncommon to wear t-shirts, shorts and tennis shoes during the workday. We want our employees to feel comfortable at work everyday, so we eliminated that common frustration of having to dress up.

+ Where is Pro Athlete located?

We're based in Kansas City, Missouri. Our physical address is 10800 N. Pomona Ave. Kansas City, Missouri 64153. However, we aren't a storefront anymore and don't sell any products or merchandise through our physical location. All of that is done online through our various sporting good websites.

+ Why do you offer all of these perks and benefits to your employees?

We are true believers in doing anything we can to make sure that our customers, employees, vendors and lenders are all treated with the best experience out there. We pride ourselves in taking care of everyone with whom we cross paths.

+ I'm really interested in working at Pro Athlete. What can I do to gain an edge against the competition?

Be persistent. When we announce that we have an Open Roster Spot, we receive hundreds of applications. We're looking for the best-of-the-best and look beyond your resume and what school you graduated from. We want to know more about who you are as a person. We want to know more about the last time you gave back to your community. You can also sign up at the bottom of this page to "Stay Connected" as a member of the Pro Athlete Fan Club. Use the form to tell us all about yourself. The more creative, the better. Do your best to stand out.

+ Why does the hiring process take so long? Why are there so many steps?

We have a pretty tight-knit group around here. When we undergo the hiring process we want to ensure that we don't let anyone in that could damage and taint our environment. We use our 10-step hiring process to weed out any candidates that don't fit our culture or can't contribute in the ways that we're looking for.

+ I've never played baseball or softball. Can I still apply for an open roster spot?

Absolutely! This is one of the most common questions we hear when interviewing and communicating with those who want to become a member of the Pro Athlete team. We have quite the variety of players on our team: some have played in high school, college, and even professionally. However, it's not a requirement.
